Sorry this post is late! Too many things to do & not enough time to do them all! ;)
We are still doing AOKs like CRAZY! :)
I went to Mady's school's consignment sale & picked up a Dr. Seuss DVD for my kiddos. :) Alas, some of the things I bought Boo didn't fit so I was pleased to pass them on to one of our good friends Riley-she gives stuff to Mady ALL the time so we were happy to return the favor! :)
I experimented with a new recipe a couple of weekends ago & made "brownies" in the crock pot. I passed some along to my secret pal. :) I also gave my secret pal a Target gift card. MY secret pal made me SO HAPPY yesterday when they surprised me with all kinds of scrapbooking goodies-I can't wait for Fall Break to put it to good use! :)
One of my parents has been SO SWEET & she sent in some Jolly Ranchers, a Starbucks gift card, water & stickers for the class! :)
One of my students brought in some really FUN glasses for me-I passed them on to Boo & she of course thinks she is too cool for school when she wears them! ;)
I have had 4 kiddos bring in Box Tops for our school-SO AWESOME! :)
It was International Clean Water week last week so Mady decided to take her "Charity" money that she has been saving from her allowance to donate to the little girl her school sponsors. One of the things we provide for her is clean drinking water. Of course it made my heart SO HAPPY when Mady wanted to donate her charity money in honor of this! :)
We did 6 Get Well/BD cards in the last little bit for various friends of the classroom. :) I LOVE it that the kids are coming in & asking if we can do these & that it means SO MUCH to the friends we do it for!
I have said it before & I will say it again-I could NEVER make it through this crazy life w/o my mamma! Last week was NO exception! I had the 4th in a row of CRAZY, BUSY weeks & my Mom & Mady made my food for "Football Friday" & for Mrs. DePew's baby shower! It was SUCH a relief to not have to stay up late & do that! :)
Taygen's Mom sent in some fun cut outs to use in our classroom. I had JUST put this on my grocery list & she LITERALLY sent them in the on the SAME day! :) So far I have used them to hang over our tables to display their numbers on, Mrs. Smith is using them for a main idea activity & I am using some for a center-SO AWESOME! :)
It is Thank-a-Teacher week & I have already gotten SO many goodies & it's only Tuesday!!! My kiddos sure know how to make a girl feel loved! I have gotten LOVE notes, water, Post-Its & lots of other fun goodies! It was SO FUN to get to do this for Mady's teachers too! Everyone deserves to know how much they're LOVED & APPRECIATED! :)
I gave some hooks to my friend Mrs. Smith. :) I also got to pass on 4 coupons to loved ones. :)
I came in yesterday after a typical Monday to the MOST BEAUTIFUL bouquet of flowers that Mady had picked for me on a walk with my Mom. :)
I am INDEED a BLESSED girl!
Of course we did our weekly recycle even though it was a short week! We are rockin' & rollin'! :)
