Box Tops Abound! (556!) WOW! :)

We're still going strong & man did we have a good week!  :)
We donated 3 bags of pop tops to Student Council who will then turn them in for Ronald McDonald house-Coke-a-Cola donates 10 cents per pop top!  :)
We also had a friend turn in Box Tops just in time for the 1st semester contest!  We made a Math lesson  out of counting our box tops-we put them in groups of 10-we had 1, 209 box tops!  That means that we raised $120.90 cents for our school!  Mrs. H. thinks that ROCKS!!!  :)
I got to give Mrs. DePew another diaper coupon.  I also gave an encouragement card to one of my friends that is going through a rough time.  :)
Makayla's Mom sent in TONS of fun stuff for our prize bin-just in time for our 40th day visit to the prize bin-the kids REALLY liked the new stuff!  :)
We sent 3 get well cards this week & 1 Happy BD card-these cards were ALL the kids ideas-I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this!  :)
Mr. Myers brought his K-9 dog & another officer from downtown & did an AWESOME program for all of 1st grade-it was AWESOME!  Even I learned A LOT!  :)  We wrote them a Thank-You card to them of course!  :)
Mrs. Smith wasn't feeling well so I watched her boys for her while she went to the Dr.  She brought me my favorite treat-D.Coke & Reeses-she TOTALLY didn't have to do that but she did!  :)  While her boys were hanging out with me Gavin helped me pass out a book order & Hayden helped put the next one to go home together.  We are SO LUCKY to have the Smith family in our lives!  Also-Mrs. Smith has been sharing some really cool copies for each new Reading unit.  Like I said-LUCKY!  :)
I got two sweet love notes from 2 of my kiddos-they make my day & fill my bucket!  :)  I also got the KINDEST gift from Cesar for thank-a-teacher week.  It was SUCH a  joy-it really filled my bucket!  :)
Aaliyah made me a bracelet-it didn't fit so I passed it on to my sweet Boo.  :)
We met as a grade level this week & we did a lot of sharing-I got 2 really good things-peanut butter/jelly partners & some cause & effect stuff.  I also got to share some stuff for author's purpose.  :)  Mrs. Hall shared "fridge copies" for our new reading series-such a nice way to send home our words for weekly practice.  :)  I also got a really cute-whole-part-part ladybug activity from a K friend.  Mrs. DePew & Mrs. Sebastian let me use their Velcro dots for a token board I needed to make for one of my kiddos.  Mrs. Gilliam helped me with a DVD Movie that I made for the kids-she made my music match up with the movie-I asked the perfect person for help b/c she knew EXACTLY what I needed!  I LOVE how our school staff shares & treats each other like family, it's a blessing to work with a staff like that!
I also LOVE my sweet girl-her & her best buddy Kels have been sending letters back & forth to each other-I love how sweet they are to each other.  :)  I also love that Mady CONSTANTLY reminds to have child-like faith & to be the bigger person in situations-even when you're getting bullied.  I was humbled by my daughter's beautiful, kind heart this week!  :)
We also could NEVER make it without my mamma & this week was no exception!  We refinanced our house this week-which was a huge blessing!   We needed to come up with some unexpected money for the refinance & my sweet mother loaned it to us so we didn't have to reschedule the refinance-always a blessing!  :)
Alas, I can't believe I have been forgetting to add the AOK of our volunteers!  They are AMAZING & they take SO MUCH OFF my plate!   I am SO GRATEFUL for our classroom volunteers!  I could NOT make it without them!  :)
Finally, we did our usual recycling for K & 1st grade this week!  As you can see-we've been busy, busy, busy!  :)
Current total = 556!
