That's a Wrap-Put a Bow on It! (3,024) They DID it!!! :)

This is a bittersweet week for sure!  I am SO INCREDIBLY PROUD of my kiddos!  They have taught ME a thing or two (or 20) about being kind this year!  I have NEVER had such a sweet group of kiddos!  I hate to see them go but I know they must!  I hope that above all else that stays with them from their 1st grade experience-that doing Acts of Kindness is on the top of the list!  Knowing these kiddos it will be!  :)
We had an AWESOME End of the Year party-hosted by our very own Room Mom, Mrs. Gardner.  It's SO FUN to get to see the kiddos actually get to be kiddos for a while & they definitely got to do that at our party!  :)  She has been such a WONDERFUL room mom I do not know what I would have done w/o her this year!  :)  The kiddos made sure that Mady had a fun blower from our party.  :)  Mrs. Gardner & Makayla also gave me the most AWESOME end of the year gift-a beach bag FULL of fun, summer time goodies!  :)
This time of year is CRAZY for teachers & we don't get a lot of breaks to get our 1 million items on our To Do list done so...to help out some friends that didn't get Library one day I invited Mrs. DePew & Mrs. Sebastian to send over their kiddos that usually go to Encore with us to come over while we watched a movie so they could hopefully get some work done in their classrooms.  :)  Mrs. DePew gave me a stamp set that she doesn't use anymore.  I can't wait to try it out this summer!  :)
Mrs. Smith was SO INCREDIBLY SWEET & watched my kiddos for me Tuesday so I could go be a Mommy for a bit & go to Mady's End of the Year luncheon at pre-school.  :)  Mrs. Smith is an AMAZING friend & I also don't know what I would have done w/o her again this year!  :)  Her boys don't fall far from the tree-Hayden went & got me a D. Coke one morning when I had forgotten & they both played/entertained Mady for the last two days.  They gave her some sweet treats as well.  :)
Mady came & hung out with us after her luncheon & again yesterday-the kids showered her with love & presents-including some "jewels" & a Crayon eraser that she thought was VERY COOL. ;)
I am SO FORTUNATE to work at a school that values not just our students but our own personal families as well so I can do things like that!  :)
I gave Mrs. Lawson a coupon for her sweet baby girl.  :)
Mrs. Coode made DELICIOUS Oreo covered chocolate balls for the end of the year-YUM!  :)  I have LOVED, LOVED, LOVED working with her this year, I really hope she gets to come back next year.
Taygen brought in an awesome End of the Year gift for me AND water bottles for the WHOLE class-SO FUN!  :)
I gave the kiddos some clay for a fun summer activity.  :)
Shayla S. brought me some candy & Aaliyah gave me some earrings.  :)
Mr. Preston-one of our SWEET volunteers bought our classroom 3 hardback books-SO VERY THOUGHTFUL!  :)
We have been collecting markers to take to a place that recycles them on our trip out west-the staff response has been AWESOME!  I have a HUGE bag FULL to take!  I am SO EXCITED!  I can't wait to get to see the process!  :)
Jackson brought me some perfume for an End of the Year gift.  :)
Mrs. Williams gave me a bag of stuff for my treasure bin & a bag FULL of stickers-it was SO THOUGHTFUL of her!  :)
Maddox brought me some yummy goodies & a cute green cup.  :)
I got the sweetest end of the year note from Hannah's family.  :)
Mrs. Brown gave Mady a Music book for the summer-SO SWEET of her to think of Mady!  :)
I got the MOST BEAUTIFUL bouquet of flowers from Zayra's family with the sweetest card!  :)
We did our final recycle for K & 1st grade.  Hayden & Gavin took my recycle bin out for me one last time for the year.  :)
I told you these kiddos were AMAZING!  :)  They did over 3,000 AOKs this year!!!  :)

Mother's Day & Our Last Full Week! (2,920)

It's the last full week of school & we couldn't be busier!  :)
My Mom took Mady & I out for shakes last weekend @ Sonic-yummy!  :)
Last week I forgot to include the awesome gifts the kiddos made for their mothers.  They made a beautiful flower pic, a card, a note & a flower.  They were busy, busy, busy!  :)  We got to take my sweet mamma out for a Mother's Day dinner @ Aubreys & give her a gift card-what a special treat for the girlies in our family!  :)  Mady made me a couple of cards, a french toast brunch & a yummy eclair (or as Mady calls it a "declare".) ;)  I got to share the eclair w/ Mrs. Smith for lunch one day.  I also got to share some pizza from our pizza party w/ her & her family. :)  I also loaned her some bags for her kids end of the year presents.  :)
Steele brought me the cutest bag with lotion & soap-I LOVED the soap but I especially loved the  bag & am going to use it a lot!  :)
We've been having lots of fun this week & one of the things we've done is make flubber.  Mrs. Russell was nice enough to let us use her glue so we shared all of our other supplies w/ Mrs. Coode, Mrs. Williams & Mrs. Russell of course-the kids were AMAZED when it ACTUALLY turned into flubber!  (They thought their teacher was pretty cool!)  ;)
Mady took her End of the Year gifts to her teachers this week:  flowers w/ rulers on them that said, "Thanks for helping me GROW!", packets of Thank-You cards & gift cards.  She has grown by leaps & bounds this year & we are going to miss her pre-school teachers SO much!
I got 4 love notes this week.  :)  We also made a BD card for Brody's sister, a Get Well card for Steele's Mom (she broke her foot-ouch!) and of their own volition-the girls made a "Cedar Bluff Rocks" card for Mrs. Dowell.  ;)  We also sent a Happy Anniversary card to my little brother & his wife Marfi.  :)
Miss Sloan was cleaning out & gave away some paint-I already have some cool plans for that & Mady this summer!  ;)  As I was cleaning out, I found some stuff from Mrs. DePew's wedding shower & I gave it to her so she could use it for her class luau party next week.  :)  I also found two sets of some Math manipulatives & I gave one to Mrs. Smith.  I gave a bunch of safety pins to Mrs. Goodwin (for consigning) since we don't need them anymore for field day-they have AWESOME new shirts now where we actually write everything on the shirt-SUPER DUPER COOL!  :)
It is that CRAZY, INSANE time of year when EVERYTHING has to be done & my sweet, sweet mamma has braved the insaneness TWICE this week to come & help me clean, organize etc.  I honestly don't know what I'd do w/o her!  :)  As we've been cleaning out we've been having daily "give aways" for the kiddos-they LOVE it (I'm not sure their parents will though!) ;)
Mrs. Smith's son Gavin had Field Day on Wednesday so we invited her class to come over & watch Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory w/ us so she could go watch him.  She's going to return the favor for me next week so I can go to Mady's End of the Year luncheon.  What else would Best Friends do for each other?  ;)
My AWESOME secret pal gave me her last gift & finally revealed herself-it was Mrs. Lawson! I would never have guessed!  I had to thank her for being such an AWESOME  Secret Pal!  :)  I gave her a baby coupon as well.  :)
I have had the honor of working with Mrs. Coode this year in two different maternity spots & I gave her a card to tell her how much I've enjoyed it!  :)  I did the same for Mrs. Scholomer too.  :)
A computer guy came out & fixed our volume-YEAH & my computer so I can actually log out/in @ home-STELLAR!  The kids were SO EXCITED about FINALLY having decent volume for their movies that they wanted to know how he knew to come & I told them I called him on his "bat phone" or sent a "bat signal" to him.  Then they wanted to know where he had parked his Batmobile-I told them "in the parking lot of course."  I don't know who got a bigger kick out of that the kids or him!  ;)
I gave Mrs. Bock some pipe cleaner so she didn't have to leave on her lunch break to go get some.
I donated some OJ for the volunteer breakfast last week & some D. Coke to the retirement celebration for next week.
Mrs. DePew & Sebastian gave me some sunscreen for Mady, that will definitely be put to good use this summer!  :)  Our parents donated money so we could have a pizza party today to celebrate all of the kiddos awesome accomplishments this year-I am SO PROUD of everything they have done-they ROCK!
Finally, we did our regular K & 1 recycling.  :)
As the year is winding down we are keeping busy-I hope, hope, hope we make it to 3,000 before the end of school!  :)

"It's the FINAL countdown!" (2,822)

We are done testing!  Hip-Hip Hooray!  :)  Now we're on the final countdown w/ 7 1/2 days of school left.  We have a couple of math tests left to take & then we are free to have fun, fun, fun!  :)
This was Teacher Appreciation Week & man oh man did I feel special!!!  :)  The PTSA & our principals provided us w/ breakfast, lunch, & treats every day this week.  :)
Shawn cleaned his truck out & he let me have a CD game for our treasure box.  :)
We got 11 love notes this week!  (Like I said last wk, I think the kids are realizing that our time together is almost over.  I also think they have been a bit bored & being creative has been a nice outlet for them during testing.)
It's the end of the year & we've been getting our end of the year gifts together.  We've prepped Mr. Preston & all of our classroom helper's gifts to give out next week.  :)
I got gifts twice from my Secret Pal this week-they gave me a clue that they were testing too but I haven't figured out who it is yet.  :)
Mady let us borrow 4 of her movies this week so we could "chill" every afternoon w/ a brain break after testing.
Taygen wrote us a thank-you card & a motivational song for testing.  :)   She also made a card for the class.  :)
One of our PTSA mommies gave me a pack of ice cream cones on our ice cream day so I could bring it home for Mady to make ice cream cones.  Mady-was SUPER EXCITED about that!  ;)
I gave Mrs. Joiner a coupon & brought her a D. Coke one day when she forgot hers.  :)
I got so many sweet notes, cards & presents from my sweet, sweet families this week.  :)  Like I said, I have felt VERY LOVED!  Hannah & her family got me an engraved bookmark.  :)  Makayla got me a BEAUTIFUL bouquet of flowers.  :)  Mrs. Brown brought me a StarBuck's card.  :)  I got a bag full of fun school supplies, D. Coke & candy from Taygen.  :)  I got a gift card for Target from Miles.  :)  I got a gift box, cup, book & card from Nevaeh & a card from Dominic & Ioana this week.  Everyone was SO INCREDIBLY SWEET to me this week!  :)
Nevaeh, De'Marius & Taygen brought in Pop Tabs & Box Tops this week.  :)
We made some stain glass flowers & a note for our final package to Miss Ellyn in Africa.  :)  We also sent a Get Well card to a friend in 5th grade.
I'm on the Community Outreach Committee @ school & we tried to get our Partners in Education to donate some treats to our teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week.  We got a free small Marco's pizza-it was so big I got to share it with Mrs. Smith for lunch today.  It was super duper yummy!  I also had the privilege of getting a free salad coupon from Wendy's.  I sent Ms. Truett a thank-you card for the company Thursday.  :)  It was SO NICE of them to do that for us-I'm going to use mine for field day on Monday.  :)
Mady made me the most beautiful potted plant for Mother's Day!  It was such a nice surprise when I got home from work yesterday!  :)
The PTSA gave the kiddos candy for a treat to end their testing week.  I gave them some gold fish that said, "Hip Hip Hooray!  You're oFISHally done w/ testing."  We also shared Popsicles w/ Mr. Vickers' class today as an end to our testing celebration for both of us.  Mr. Vickers gave me two Popsicles so I didn't have to buy extra for my kids for Field Day-that was SO THOUGHTFUL of him!  :)
Finally, we did our regular recycling for K & 1st grades.
