We LOVE the Holidays! :) (1,241!)

What a week!  We have been BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!  :)
Mrs. Hall's mother had to go the ER last weekend.  She was in ICU for a while & she has been moved to a nursing home for a couple of weeks.  Mrs. Hall asked if 1st grade could make some Get Well/Holiday cards to brighten up her room at the nursing home-so of course we wanted to do that!  :)
I got 4 Love notes from my kiddos this week.  :)  We made 6 Get Well cards this week.  We also made 2 BD cards.  :)
I passed along 6 coupons to Mrs. Crawford.  :)  I also got a new purse (YEAH!)  & my Mom wanted my old one so I gave it to her.  :)  I also donated our monthly pop tops to Ronald McDonald house.  :)
Mrs. Pasca donated a bunch of treasures for our treasure bin & a ton of books for our classroom library.  The kids were SO EXCITED!  :)  She also came in to volunteer this week!  So did Mr. Preston & Mrs. Nolasco.  Mr. Myers & Mrs. Gentry also came in.  Our book volunteer came in as well.  (I keep forgetting to add these people up-so I am "reporting" for the last 4 weeks.  ;)  Mr. Holloway helped me do TONS of stuff this week while Mady had dance class Wednesday night.  :)
We also got to make Christmas cards for our friend Ellyn in Africa.  :)  We're hoping to Face Time with her soon!  The kids LOVE to get Thank-You cards in the mail & I must say they got the COOLEST Thank-You Ever this week.  Nevaeh's Uncle surprised the class with a Thank-You Face Time message on Tuesday-it was AWESOME!  I have never seen the kids so shy, surprised & excited!  ;)
This week Mrs. Smith needed to run home for a few minutes Monday so I watched her class during recess & took them to lunch for her.  :)  We also got her a BD present-I finally settled on a Christmas tree scented candle & a book from an author I love-hopefully she will too.  :)  We went to her son Hayden's band concert on Tuesday-they were very good!  :)
Sadly her father passed away Tuesday afternoon.  First grade & friends got her a card & donated a book in his memory to the library.  The whole school is collecting money for her family to be able to provide meals on the day of his graveside service.  I LOVE the way our whole school comes together when one of our school family members' heart is hurting!  :)
Finally, our recycling bins were OVERFLOWING & we figured everyone else's was too so we braved the rain & went to recycle for K & 1st today.  :)
