This week we had the privilege of getting to do 19 Veteran's Day cards for Nevaeh's recently retired Naval uncle-Mr. Entzmeyer. The kids had a WONDERFUL time designing their cards! :)
My sweet Boo allowed me to use some of her dinosaur paper (it went with our story) to use for the kiddo's choice board this week. :) She also let us borrow two of her books for a center & to go with our habitat study. :)
We got the SWEETEST card & gift card from one of Mady's teachers. It was SO incredibly sweet & it had such a positive note of encouragement-it meant so much to us! :) I LOVE something they are doing in Mady's classroom-they are doing shoe boxes for kids in need. Mady wanted to do this of course! ;) We set a budget for her & let her pick what she wanted-she picked a tea set & a princess dress up set. I was SO PROUD of her & her class for doing this project! It warms my heart. She has also had fun donating to soldier's children every time we go into the $ Tree. :) I also got the sweetest note from Keilee this week. :)
I sent two sympathy cards to two friends that recently lost their mother/father, grandmother/grandfather. We sent two BD cards this week. :) We also did 3 Get Well cards. I did a note of encouragement for my friend Mrs. Smith when she was getting observed. :) I also got to give my friend Mrs. Martin a Shutterfly coupon. :) My friend Shelly did my caller duty (in the rain NO LESS!) for me on Friday so I could take Mady to the Dr.-she had a sinus infection. I appreciated it SO MUCH-it's tough to be a working mom sometimes! :P
Hannah's Mom sent in some fun things for the treasure box-the kiddos LOVED them! :) We had 3 wonderful volunteers this week-Mr. Myers, Mrs. Pasca & our book backpack person. We also had 2 parents-Mr. Myers & Mrs. Blair do interviews for us regarding their jobs in the community-a firefighter & police officer. The kids can't WAIT to write about them. :)
Finally, we did our weekly recycle for K & 1st grade. :)
Current Total =968!
