Happy Thanksgiving! :) (1,131!)

It was only a two day week but we crammed as many AOKs into those two days as possible!!!  :)
I got a BD card for my BFF Mrs. Smith-I hope to get her present this weekend-I'm trying to find that "perfect" gift!  :)
Mady spread some left over bird seed out in the yard so they could have a "snack" on their way to "FLA."  ;)  She also let us borrow her Splat Says Thank-You book to use as an example for their Thanksgiving cards.  :)  We sent a thank-you note to her pre-school teachers to let them know how thankful we are for them.  :)  Mady sent a video to her BFF Kels this week & Kels sent Mady a sweet note in the mail.  :)  I love their sweet friendship!  :)  We made a thankful wreath in our family & in our class.  :)  Taygen's mom made Mady some cute, cute, cute bows!  :)
Taygen brought in box tops & pop tops.  :)  We sent  3 Get Well cards, 2 Thinking of You cards and 2 BD cards.  We also made 2 sets of Thank-You cards & a batch of chocolate chip cookies to share at their stations for Brody's Mom & Andrew's Dad to show our fire fighter & police officer families that we know that our heroes always don't give days off-even though it's Thanksgiving & Christmas.  :)  Brody's Mom came in & did a special fire safety program for our class & Mrs. Smith's class.  It was a very informative, interesting program.  The kids LOVED it!  :)  Mrs. Smith's class invited us over for friendship salad to say thank-you for inviting them to the program.  :)
My kiddos made Thank-You cards for someone in their families to celebrate Thanksgiving.  :)  We took advantage of this short week & went ahead & started our Christmas gifts.  We painted some cute tumblers for our classroom volunteers.  We made sparkly stars & hand print Christmas trees for our parent gifts.  Miss Sloan loaned us some brown paint to make the stems on our trees.  :)
So...as you can see-we stayed pretty busy this week!  :)
Happy Thanksgiving to you & yours!  :)

We're OVER 1,000! (1,030)

Lots of love going on in our class this week!  We got a shout out on the RADIO from Kim Hanserd this week for the Get Well cards we sent her-I told the kids they were famous!  ;)  We also got a Thank-You email from Nevaeh's retired uncle & a Thank-You card from Taygen's Mom.  :)  It means SO much to the kids when they get Thank-yous!  It's such a simple way to let them know what they're doing matters!  :)
I got 5 love notes from my kiddos this wk-those make my day!  :)  We sent 4 Get Well cards.  :)  We sent one BD card.  I sent a sympathy card to one of my friends that unexpectedly lost her father.  :(
Miles sent in pop tops for Ronald McDonald house.  :)
I made my "thankful" notes for all my kiddos for Thanksgiving next week.  :)
I dismissed Mrs. Smith's kiddos (just like she did for me last week) so she could go to the Dr.  She brought me back a bag of my favs-Reese's!  She TOTALLY didn't have to do that, I was just returning the favor!  (I will still eat them though!)  ;)
I shared some advent ideas from Pinterest with one of friends from Little Gym.  :)
My Mom cleaned my oven AND fridge for me this week!  :)
Mr. Holloway stapled some papers that I had to send home this week for me.  :)
We did our regular recycling this week & actually added two classrooms!  :)

Veteran's Day! (968!)

This week we had the privilege of getting to do 19 Veteran's Day cards for Nevaeh's recently retired Naval uncle-Mr. Entzmeyer.  The kids had a WONDERFUL time designing their cards!  :)
My sweet Boo allowed me to use some of her dinosaur paper (it went with our story) to use for the kiddo's choice board this week.  :)  She also let us borrow two of her books for a center & to go with our habitat study.  :)
We got the SWEETEST card & gift card from one of Mady's teachers.  It was SO incredibly sweet & it had such a positive note of encouragement-it meant so much to us!  :)   I LOVE something they are doing in Mady's classroom-they are doing shoe boxes for kids in need.  Mady wanted to do this of course!  ;)  We set a budget for her & let her pick what she wanted-she picked a tea set & a princess dress up set.  I was SO PROUD of her & her class for doing this project!  It warms my heart.  She has also had fun donating to soldier's children every time we go into the $ Tree.  :)  I also got the sweetest note from Keilee this week.  :)
I sent two sympathy cards to two friends that recently lost their mother/father, grandmother/grandfather. We sent two BD cards this week.  :)  We also did 3 Get Well cards.  I did a note of encouragement for my friend Mrs. Smith when she was getting observed.  :)  I also got to give my friend Mrs. Martin a Shutterfly coupon.  :)  My friend Shelly did my caller duty (in the rain NO LESS!) for me on Friday so I could take Mady to the Dr.-she had a sinus infection.  I appreciated it SO MUCH-it's tough to be a working mom sometimes!  :P
Hannah's Mom sent in some fun things for the treasure box-the kiddos LOVED them!  :)   We had 3 wonderful volunteers this week-Mr. Myers, Mrs. Pasca & our book backpack person.  We also had 2 parents-Mr. Myers & Mrs. Blair do interviews for us regarding their jobs in the community-a firefighter & police officer.  The kids can't WAIT to write about them.  :)
Finally, we did our weekly recycle for K & 1st grade.  :)
