Week # 2

   This was a VERY fun week!  In just the 2nd wk of school we started seeing the domino effect of doing acts of kindness that I was hoping for!  One of our parents works for Pepsico & Monday her son brought in 2 HUGE boxes of school supplies that they donated so that we could help even more students!   We were able to help at least 4 teachers, 2 more students, our own class & countless others!  Hooray! :)
   It was also fun because every AOK we did this wk was FREE!  It just took our time, muscles & brains!
   I also LOVE the fact that the kids are "getting" it & that our acts can be FREE!  :)  Like most of Knoxville, we wore orange Friday to show our support for Pat Summitt.  One of my sweet students suggested we ALSO write Coach Summitt Get Well cards as an Act of Kindness.  I didn't even THINK of that so needless to say I was VERY PROUD!  :)
   We are also gearing up for our Sept. project-sending care pkgs to soldiers in Japan & Afghanistan.  I told my parents about it last night at parent night & I have prepped the "donation items" list.  I am excited about our next big project.  I hope our parents catch the excitement like myself & the students have!  :)  Not only are we making an impact in our school & community but now we can say we will making an impact in the world!  ;)
