Week 23-Shew the Flu! :P (1,380)

 Well...it finally happened the flu hit the Holloway house!  :(  It got little Mady...so far, no one else-fingers crossed.  It seems like she's on the road to recovery-HOPEFULLY!  My colleagues were rock stars when I had to split my class Monday afternoon & Mrs. Stewart was AMAZING when she printed out all my lesson plans & got my room ready for the sub everyday!  :)
I got two "love notes" from my kiddos.  :)  We donated 3 Kleenex boxes to Miss Grantham for a project she's doing.  We also donated some Pop Tabs to Student Council for Ronald McDonald house & we gave some coupons to my Mom.
Mrs. Coode let me use her pencil sharpener.  :)  We also had volunteers come in all this week.  I appreciate them SO much!
Hopefully, next week we'll all be on the mend & we'll be back in the full swing of doing AOKs!

Week 22-Birthdays and Basketball Oh My! (1,354)

   We had Miss Mady's BD party this past weekend & my goodness was she shown the love!  It made this Momma's heart so happy!  :)
    Mrs. B. not only made Mady's BD cake for her but she also arranged for our staff to go the Lady Vols game this week.  :)  It was definitely fun times! :)
Mady got some fun games from Mrs. Augustus & some fabric for doll clothes from Mrs. McCain.
We made 3 Get Well cards & 1 Missing You card for our friends this week.  :)
We had several of our awesome volunteers come in this week!  :)
   Finally, we recycled for K & 1st grade this week.

Week 21-Back in the Swing of Things! (1,305)

   Let me preface this post with:  sometimes I'm tired & sometimes I'm lazy & often I'm overwhelmed & always I'm human so...there are probably many AOKs that don't make it to the blog b/c I simply forget-I just wanted to give my kiddos a shout out about that b/c they do SO many AOKs throughout the week & a lot of times they just don't make it to the blog.  ;)
   I gave Mrs. Harkleroad a coupon.  :)  Mady gave me a very sweet love poem.  :)  We made 3 Get Well cards for one of Jacob's friends, Mrs. Stewart & Miss Moody-who both have the flu.  :P
   In thinking about my "humanness"  I realized that I have forgotten to add all of our awesome volunteers on here:  classroom, book backpack & Kid's Hope-these people are ALL amazing & I am SO VERY grateful for them!  :)
   I anticipate that we will recycle for K & 1st grade today.  ;)

Week 20-Happy New Year! :) (1,253)

We're kicking off the 2nd semester & we're starting off the year with LOTS of AOKs-just how we like it!  :)   

I got 9 gifts from my sweet kiddos.  :)  We gave Mrs. Huff her last 5 gifts for the 12 Days of Christmas.  We sent two BD cards.  :)  Mr. Holloway made whoopee pies to take on our giving plate to one of his coworkers.  We donated Pop Tabs to the Ronald McDonald house.  We also donated one of my old phones to a soldier.   We gave NaNa some coupons & Dunkin Donuts at school.  Mady donated toys to our toy bin.  Several boys & girls did as well.  (I think a lot of people cleaned out over the break!) ;) We gave Germ-X to Mrs. Sardonia for the computer lab.  We recycled 23 bins before Christmas & 23 today.  :)   

Mrs. Stewart & Mrs. Harkleroad loaned us movies.  :)  My Mom donated some erasers to our classroom.  We had several families donate Kleenex & school supplies-we needed all of them so we really appreciated them!  Mrs. Stewart let us use some compound word puzzle games-we LOVED them!  It was SO FUN!  :) 

   The kiddos are excited to continue our AOKs-I'm excited to see how many we can do by the end of the year!
