Week 3-Busy, Busy, Busy! (274!)

My kiddos earned 29 Hard @ Work tickets this week, including a class set they earned from a compliment from our principal-Mrs.Dowell!  I'm SO PROUD of them!  :)
My loving man helped me again this week-I honestly don't know what I'd do w/o him!
I gave Mrs. Lawson a coupon.  We gave Mrs. Huff a nice, cold D. Coke on her very 1st, full day of Kindergarten.  :)  We also brought her breakfast from CFA Friday a.m. for surviving her 1st full week. :)  I continue to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all the sharing/support that goes on in our grade!  :)  I gave Mrs. Schlomer a fun little praise sheet for her busy bees.  :)
One of our parents donated some toys for our prize bin.  :)  One of our students brought in a Box Top for our classroom.  :)  Another one of our students brought in Campbell's Soup labels in for the YMCA.  Jalayiah made a ring for Mady & I this week.
Mady let me borrow two of her books & I let Mrs. Stewart borrow one too. :)  She's such a sweet girl!
We were very busy Friday but we did manage to recycle!

Week 2-Off & Running! :) (202)-We More Than DOUBLED Last Week's Total! :)

We had our 1st full week of school & we're off to a GREAT start!  :)
My loving man helped me to laminate & he made a Math game for me.  :)  I don't know what I'd do w/o his help!  :)  Miss Mady let me borrow 2 of her books about Bucket Filling-which totally filled my bucket.
Mrs. Harkleroad taught me how to do Pass Keys-so VERY helpful!   We had a training & I took some M & Ms to share w/ everybody-just what we needed at the end of a long day!  :)  Mrs. Bennett let me borrow her step stool to hang some stuff up for parent night.  :)  Tuesday I stayed at school for Boo's parent night & I had to go get my allergy shot.  Mrs. Harkleroad was having her parent night so I picked up a fountain drink for her on my way back to school.  :)  I shared a Buddy Bingo w/ Mrs. Stewart-my kids had SO much fun doing it this week, I hope her kids do too!  :)
I got the sweetest email & note from two parents this week about how much their kids were already enjoying school-it made my heart so happy!  :)  We had an awesome volunteer come in this week-Mrs. Frizzell-she did SO much stuff for us, it took a lot off my plate.  :)  Jalayiah made me a bracelet out of green construction paper b/c she knew my fav. color was green.  :)
I bought my Mom lunch the other day,  the least I could do after all the help she gives us ALL the time!  We also gave her some groceries that we knew she could use.  :)
My kiddos were very Hard at Work this week-they earned 39 tickets-including a whole class set for getting a compliment from Mrs. Spikes!  Awesome Job guys!  :)
We got our pencil boxes put together for our school friends that might need them this week.  :)  We've already given two away.    We started sending our cards-that's one of our favorite AOKs to do!  We sent 19 BD cards to the "over 80s" group at my Mom's church.  We also sent a Get Well card to Julius's Mom.  :)
I gave Miss Taygen a fun pic of her & Mady from a play date we did this summer.  :)
We volunteered to help Mrs. Huff (Mady's teacher) sort some of her Math workbook pages.  We did 3 sets for her & even Doc got in on the action!  :)
We did our weekly recycle & it went so much smoother this time!  They did a GREAT job-I'm very proud of them!  They more than doubled their total from last week-they ROCK!  :)

One Week In-We're Off to a GREAT start! :) (90)

We're back at it & my goodness we've already done SO many AOKs!  :)
I took Mrs. Hall's Tea to our Welcome Back Staff Supper for her.  Auntie Nicole watched Mady so Shawn could come help me carry all my heavy stuff into the picnic.  The picnic itself was SO Fun-kudos to Mrs. B. for coming up with that idea!  :)  She also gave me a free 30 minute break to "cash in" sometime-something to look forward to!  :)
CFA gave free sandwiches all week to teachers just by showing their teacher badge-how awesome is that?  We also had a great BBQ lunch one day and breakfast-3 different times from the principals, Kid's Hope & PTSA-how awesome is that?  :)  Children's Hospital gave us all new, neat lunch boxes.
I also drove friends to lunch one day.  :)  They are putting new lights in the school.  The guys were going to sweep up their mess in my room & I told them they didn't have to do that I would do it.  They're my BFFs now!  LOL! ;)  I vacuumed Mrs. Harkleroad's room for her on Open House so she didn't have to worry about it.  :)  Mrs. Harkleroad stepped up & planned our 1st "real" week for us & got a ton of our copies together for us.  Mrs. Boyce helped with the copying as well-that took SO MUCH off my plate this week & I am SO VERY GRATEFUL!  :)
This is a crazy busy time of year & I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how our team works together & shares with everyone.   Mrs. Depew & Sebastian gave me some batteries for my label maker.  :)  I loaned them my fingernail polish remover.  :)  They also gave me name tags one day when I accidentally forgot them at home.  Shawn brought them to me when he came to pick Mady up so I could pay them back.  :)   Mrs. Lawson let me copy all of her pacing guides.  :)  I had a VERY bad day the day before school started & I have amazing friends that "talked me off the ledge" & helped me put it in perspective & "get it together", everybody needs friends like that in their lives! :)  Mrs. Coode helped make a bad day better by letting me use her awesome pencil sharpener.  Mrs. Moody gave me two lamps-I used one in my classroom & let Mady use one at her homework table-they are brand new & green!  How AWESOME is that?  :)  I gave our new teachers on our grade level a little welcome package w/ cards, pencils & a pen.  :)  We gave Mrs. Huff a cute little goodie basket on Open House & she gave us the sweetest TY note! :)  We also donated some extra school supplies to Mady's class.  Our class gave P.E. & the guidance class extra boxes of Kleenexes.  Jalayiah's Mom donated extra glue sticks to our class-we always need those!  :)  I shared lots of things with our team this week & vice-versa but one of my favorites was some free, cute TY card printouts that I found.  Thank-yous are so very important!  :)  Julius brought in an awesome gift for Music with stuff off their wish list.  :)  Mrs. Humphreys let me have zip ties to use for my kids dismissal tags to go on their backpacks.  :)  I gave Mrs. Goodwin some pirate stickers to go with her class theme.  :)  I also put some thumb tacks in the mail room for anyone to take that needed them.
Mady let us use her blindfold & her Chicka Chicka ABC book/CD this week for class activities.  :)  Shawn gave me his old speakers to use in the classroom-we already used them this week-it makes our music sound SO much better!  :)
Shawn gave me a sweet homemade gift for our 19th anniversary & I gave him one as well.  :)
I gave Auntie Nicole a coupon, and my Mom one as well.
A teacher could not get the massive amount of work done at the beginning of the year if they don't have an AWESOME support team-I am very grateful for mine.  Shawn has helped me SO much over the last two weeks w/ numerous school tasks especially cutting laminate.  I also would NEVER make it through this time of year w/o my AMAZING mamma!  :)  The week before school started Shawn did all the laundry & went to the grocery store so Mady & I could spend our last day of freedom at the pool.  :)
We gathered a huge bag of box tops & pop tabs for school.  :)  We also donated a bunch of toys to our prize bin. I gave Mrs. Lawson 5 baby coupons.  :)  Mrs. Lawson gave Mady a cute wallet & necklace-Mady loved them-that was so thoughtful of her!  :)
Our new vice-principal Mrs. Spikes has come up with some really neat positive behavior incentives-"caught reading" & "hard at work".  Dustin won the caught reading prize for all of 1st grade & I had 6 kiddos that I "caught" doing awesome AOKs & being Hard at Work this week-that's a GREAT way to start the year!  :)
We started our weekly recycle this week-I know everyone will greatly appreciate that!  Mr. Posey helped me put the recycle trash in the bin since it was so full-how nice was that?  :)
As you can see-we're off to an AWESOME start!  :)
