We reached our Goal!!! (2,013!) :)

We are getting back into the swing of things & I LOVE it!  :)  We reached our year's goal of 2000 AOKs this week!!!  I am SO INCREDIBLY PROUD of the kids!!!  The kids promptly decided to up our goal to 2,500-I know they won't have any problem reaching it!!!

This week we made a Congratulations card for Taygen's aunt-she is expecting a baby any day now!  :)  I sent two get Well cards this week-one to a friend who fell & broke her neck & another to Mady's Cheer coach-she recently had surgery.  I forgot to mention last week that the kids sent Valentines to Miss Ellyn in Africa but they also made some for someone they love in the United States.  :)

I also got 5 love notes this week & of course that my heart SO happy!  :)  Taygen made me a bracelet.  I LOVE it!  It's what all the COOL kids are wearing!  ;)

Makayla's mom donated toys to the treasure chest-she is SO AWESOME for always knowing JUST when we're running low & sending some in!  :)

I gave 2 coupons to Mrs. Stewart.  :)  

Madylyn made Thank-You cards & got gift cards for her 3 cheer coaches.  This is the last week of cheer!  I would like to give a CHEER for EXTREMELY PATIENT coaches!  ;)

Mrs. Smith helped me out this week when I had an emergency Monday-she printed out my sub plans.  

Mrs. Smith put together a really COOL project for all of first grade for the kids to make their very OWN books!  The kids are LOVING this project & they are SO EXCITED to see their writings turned into a REAL books!

I woke up almost an HOUR late on Tuesday & Mr. Holloway helped me get ready quickly so I made it to school on time!  :)  He also took my car to the shop for me to get it checked out.  :)  My Mom went & picked him up & took him back home so he didn't have to stay there & wait for my car to be ready all day.  

We had 4 WONDERFUL volunteers this week!  

Finally, we recycled for K & 1st grade.  :)

Happy Valentine's! (A Week Later!) 1,943!

Well we had a HUGE snow storm last week-(7 inches!) so we got out of school for another week!  We are back at it this week after President's Day & we had a post Valentine's Day celebration-boy we're good at showing LOVE to each other!  :)

I felt VERY loved this week!  I received 4 + Valentine's cards & Mady got several too.  :)  It makes me SO happy when they think of my baby girl.  :)  They made her a Get Well card last week when she wasn't feeling well too!  It was their idea & it made me SO proud of them!  :)   I also got tons of chocolate & presents-YUM!  We sent Miss Ellyn Valentines!  :)

I made my kids heart Valentine's out of crayons that said, "You COLOR my world."  :)  Mr. Preston, one of our sweet volunteers gave them all Valentines as well.  :)  I made them heart shaped cupcakes too.  :)  I gave one to my secret pal.  ;)  I got a Valentines surprise from my secret pal too.  :)

Mady gave her peeps at school Valentines & we wrote her teachers a note to tell them how much we loved them.  :)  She also got a teddy bear from one of my kiddos.  :)  Mrs. Smith sent Mady a Valentine treat.  :)  She made her "boys" two cupcakes.  :)  Zayra gave me her big bag to take all my Valentine goodies home in-it was SO SWEET!  :)

My Mom fixed a shirt for me.  :)

Mrs. Smith let us use her Olympic activity book.  She also dismissed my class for me last week so  I could take Mady to the Dr. before the big snow storm.  :)  Mrs. Moody & Mrs. Sebastian stayed on a snow day so we could all go home in the snow and get home safely.  

I loaned Mrs. Stewart a movie for her kids to watch.  :)

Mady donated a cup & a toy to our treasure bin at school.  She also loaned us her Lunch book so we could find all the color adjectives.  She also picked me some flowers today-what a wonderful surprise to come home too!  :)  

I sent a Thinking of you card to one of my friends that has been going through a difficult time.  

We sent two Get Well cards.  :) 

We sent some BD cards to a little boy named Colin in Michigan that told his Mom he wasn't going to have a BD party b/c nobody at his school liked him because they thought he was "different".  :(  We decided to send him BD cards to let him know that we care about him EVEN if he is different!  :)  

We had 6 volunteers this week & last.  :)

Finally, we recycled for K & 1st today.  :)

An Honest to Goodness 5 Day Week! WHAT!?! (1,778!)

We actually had a 5 day week this week for the 1st time since we got back from Winter Break!  This gave us the opportunity to get lots of AOKs!  :)

We did 5 Get Well cards-'tis the season to be sick! :P  We did a Happy BD card for our principal Mrs. Dowell & another first grade teacher Mrs. Russell.  We also did a BD card for Taygen's brother Talen & her cousin Ava.  Finally, we did a Happy BD card for our room mom-Mrs. Gardner.  We did a Thinking of You card for Mrs. Hall-her aunt passed away.

Mrs. Brown brought me a Reese's cup-my fav!  :)  Makayla brought me a 100 kisses on the 100th day of school-I've been enjoying those A LOT!  :)

I got a love note from one of my kiddos & a clay creation.  :)

Two friends brought in box tops for our school and two friends brought in Coke tabs for the Ronald McDonald house.  :)

Makayla brought in treasures for the treasure box.  :)  Taygen brought in some extra fun mustaches for the class & the treasure box left over from her brother Talen's BD party.  

We got Mrs. Stewart a gift card for her new baby girl coming soon!  :)

I sent a love note to one of my friends who went through a divorce this year for Valentine's Day.  :)

I got an "H" decoration in the form of a book from my secret pal.  :)

Mady loaned us her The Very Hungry Caterpillar to go along with our caterpillar story this week.  :)  

We had 5 volunteers come in and help this week & last.  

Finally, even though it was cold we did our regular recycle this week.  :)

I've got some great AOKs planned for Valentine's Day next week.  :)
