Staying Busy & Having Fun! (76!)

   We are smack dab in the middle of summer & we are having a BLAST!  We are loving doing AOKs!  :)  Shawn was a sweet heart & came on his dinner break & changed a busted tire for my Mom. :)  We sent our T-Ball Coach Jeff a gift card from Home Depot for being such an awesome coach.  I sent some coupons to Mrs. DePew.
   To go along with Mady school we got a snack for the Daycare (D week) Down the street-we took Mady's age group (30 kiddos) Kool Aid Jammers & cookies-a nice summertime snack that Mady picked out herself. ;)  The director was SO VERY APPRECIATIVE & I think she made Mady feel very proud.  :)  We went to the Animal Clinic (A week) for a tour & we sent them a thank-you card for taking the time to give us a tour.  Mady LOVED it & is all about being a "vet" now.  ;)  Also for D wk we went through all of Mady's toys & clothes & my clothes & came up with 4 bags to Donate-2 to Good Will & 2 to our sweet friend Carol Beth.  We also bought some Yarn (Y week) to donate to someone that knits hats for chemo patients.  Mady had TONS of fun picking out the softest yarn & the "best" colors. ;)  Finally this week we got to use our awesome cookie cutters & make Letter (L week) cookies to be Nice (N week) to our Neighbors (N) & NaNa. (N)  It was SO much fun!  Mady made a few special designs of her own & took one to her BFF Kelsey on our play date today-Kelsey was sweet enough to half it with Mady.  :)
   Like I said, we're having LOTS of fun and hopefully learning some too!  ;)  Next up-"LOVE Letters" on "pretty paper".  This should be interesting!  ;)

Busy, busy, busy! :) (30)

   We have been BUSY doing AOKs this wk!  :)  I sent some more coupons to Jenn DePew.  We gave Mady's Coach Jeff a TY card for being such a great coach.  We sent Genna (a cousin by marriage) a Get Well card-she has pneumonia.  :P  We gave a friend Carly a donation for The Humane Society-which is what she requested in lieu of BD presents.  :)  We made stain glass Art for the Assisted Living Center for our AOK for "A" wk.  Mady also washed my car & NaNa's car in our Driveway for "D" wk.  As you can see-we've been busy!  We've got some creative ideas for Y & L wk coming up-stay tuned!

Off to a GREAT start! :) (16)

   We are continuing the tradition of doing AOKs at home this summer and we are off to a GREAT start!  :)  This summer we are also doing Mady "school" & we are going to TRY to get our AOKs each wk to relate back to our letter.  :)
   We started off sharing some of strawberries from the Fruit & Berry Patch-Mady shared them w/ Miss Sonja & her friend from T-Ball; Anders.  She also helped me make a strawberry pie & we gave 2 slices to our neighbors Lee & Mark.  :)
   The 1st week of Mady school our letter was M so we chose to send some "fun" things in the MAIL.  We sent a card to my friend Laurie, a coupon to Jenn DePew, a card to NaNa & a card to Mady's BFF; Kelsey.  :)
   Pause for vacation week.  ;)
   When we got back from vaca we sent 3 Thank-You cards for all of the wonderful treats we experienced over vacation-one to Pop-Pop & Gram-Gram, Uncle Jack & Cousin Summer.  :)  We also sent a sympathy card to Kelsey's Mom-her mother passed away.  :(  We sent a Congrats card to my friend Jennie-she's engaged!  Mady also sent a Father's Day card to her Pop-Pop & of course she'll give one to her Daddy.
   We had several fun pieces of mail when we got back-NaNa had sent Mady her own special card AND she had a little note from Kelsey inviting her over for a play date.  :)
   Of course we had tons of AOKs done for us as well-Miss Sonja washed Mady's hair for her & TRUST ME when I say that was a HUGE AOK!  ;)  A guy @ McKays helped us not lose our trade ticket & he helped us find a book cheaper than it would have been had he not helped.  :)  Anders brought Mady a little present to say Thank-You for his strawberries.  :)
   Like I said, We're off to a GREAT start!  This is A week at Mady School & we're going to make stain glass window clings for the Assisted Living Center-Morning Pointe.  :)

Put a Bow on It-We're Done! :) Final Tally = 1,587

   I got to give Mrs. DePew a coupon.  I got to give Mrs. Smith a present.  We also got to do one final recycle for K & 1st.  :)  The SeaCrew gave our class some cool, mixed up crayons.  Mrs. DiFranco gave me a pizza to take home which came in SUPER handy b/c Mady had a 7 o'clock T-Ball game!  The SeaCrew also sent some Caprisuns home & cereal bars home for Mady.  :)
   I'm proud of our kiddos-what a GREAT year!  :)  We did 424 more acts more than last year!!!  Hopefully, next yr we can do EVEN MORE!  Mady & I have already started our AOKs for the summer-we're trying to match our AOKs to the letter of the wk we're doing for Mady school.  :)
