I haven't blogged in a while b/c I had the flu & I was just @ school for a few days in one wk. :P Mady got the flu over SB too & Shawn got a cold. I am REALLY HOPING that this is the END of all the illnesses!!! Mady took the BEST care of me while I had the flu-it was definitely an AOK! :)
I took in some newspaper to Ms. Hardin for one of her Art projects. I gave Mrs. Huff some baby coupons. We sent two thank-you cards, one to Miss Edgemon for giving Mady a musical lighthouse full of books & one to Ms. Moye for a blanket she made my sweet girl. (It definitely came in handy when we had to take her to the ER for fluids when she had the stomach bug for the 2nd time & she needed something to comfort her!) :) Mady made a card for her best buddy-Kelsey. :) I got a book Mommy Grace: Erasing Mommy Guilt for one of my parents that I thought would enjoy the read. :) I stopped & got my friend Mrs. Smith some candy to have during one of our meetings. :) She got me a candy bar & the sweetest card the wk before. :) I stopped & picked up a biscuit for my friend Mrs. Stewart when she had hall duty the day before SB. Mrs. Stewart called me when Mady had the flu & EVERYWHERE was out of Tamiflu to offer me some of hers-SO SWEET! :) The Sea Crew gave us a box of Kleenex when we ran out. :) Two of my kiddos made me Get Well cards when I had the flu-they were green & had 7s on them-two of my favorite things-SO SWEET! :)
The weather was COLD but we did manage to get in our recycling before break for K & 1st grades.

Wk-29-Sickness Can't Keep Us Down!-1,188
Well, I never should have posted that we were on the mend-totally jinxed us I guess b/c we had kiddos sick all wk in & out of class. :P
My sweet Mady got sick again Tuesday & we ended up having to take her to the ER for fluids & Zofran. :( Then...I got diagnosed with the flu Saturday! For Real? Maybe Spring Break will get all of these nasty germs!!!
My house fairy visited again Saturday while we were visiting a carnival at one of our favorite museums. ;)
Three sweet things that did come out of all of this sickness was Parker made a very sweet Get Well card for Mady. Also the day Mady got sick was the day our Kid's Hope volunteer, Ms. Moye made Mady the softest pink blanket-it came in handy at the hospital. :) Nolan made some cute rainbow cookies for us this wk & said to have a good wk. :)
I got to give two coupons to Mrs. Huff & Mrs. Smith. Ms. Fitz gave the kids popsicles for being able to "roll with the punches" so well. ;)
Mrs. Smith printed out sub plans for me twice & I got to print out sub plans for her once-oh these sick babies! :P
The kiddos have been working on their summer time BD cards & beginning of the year BD cards (for next year) for the elderly members of my Mom's church. They have done 52 cards! :)
We also go to do our weekly recycle this wk-Hooray! I guess it WAS a busy wk even though there is still lots of sickness going on! :)

Wk 28- 1,113! We're on the Mend! (Hopefully!)
What do you know-I actually made it through a whole wk w/o having to be out for sickness-Hooray! :)
This wk we've been working hard on doing AOKs. :) We finally gave the card we had made for Mrs. Smith's son to him. :) I also got to share a menu I use monthly with Mrs. Smith. :) I got to lend Mrs. Haney some green hairspray for her little boy on his crazy hair day at pre-school. I got to pass along some diaper coupons to Mrs. Huff for her new baby. We got to share part of our movie Olivia with Mrs. Smith's class this week. :) We finally (even though it was SUPER cold!) got to recycle for K & 1st grades. :)
We had lots of AOKs done for us too (as always!) Mrs. Smith sharpened pencils for our class & she let our class come over one afternoon when they needed to. Sea Crew & Mrs. Smith loaned us a book that we needed for cause & effect. Lydia brought cookies for the class for her BD & she even brought one for Mady- too sweet! Mrs. Turpin gave all of us fun bracelets for recycling trash this wk. Once again this weekend my house fairy (i.e. my Mom) came to our house today while we were at a carnival at the OR museum & my house was clean when we got home. :)
