Wk 23-Holidays & Snow Days-935

This was an incredibly short wk-especially for me!  We were all out Monday due to the MLK Jr. holiday.  Then unfortunately I was out the next 2 days b/c Mady was sick. :p  When I got back Thursday we had to get on the ball!  We made a BD card for Ms. Winton-she is going to be 105 this Saturday-now THAT'S impressive!  :)  I was very pleased with my kiddos b/c while I'd been gone they'd been making Mady Get Well cards-12 to be exact!  It was SO INCREDIBLY sweet of them & it made Mady VERY HAPPY to receive so much "mail" from my class.  :)  We also found time to do a Get Well card for our head room mom.  We were out of school today (Friday) due to ice so alas we didn't get to recycle again...man those bins are going to be heavy the next time we get to recycle!  So...I only ended up being at school one day this week but I was happy that my kiddos held down the Acts of Kindness fort even though I wasn't there.  ;)  Here's hoping we have a "normal" week next wk-whatever that means!  ;)

Wk 21-Rain, Rain & More Rain = LOTS of AOKs! (921)

It has been raining for DAYS so we got busy in our classroom & did LOTS of Acts of Kindness!  We did 23 Birthday cards for some elderly friends at my Mom's church.  We also sent a Get Well card to Mrs. Burgess, one of our classroom volunteers.  We sent 3 more get well cards to various parents/grandparents in our classroom that were sick.  I gave some Sleepy Time tea to a friend that said her roommates could use it.  I sent 3 Face Book messages to friends that were going through some things & needed a note of encouragement.  My Mom put together 2 book orders for our class.  I also sent a Congrats card to my sister-in-law, she starts a new job Tuesday!  I also sent a Congrats card to a friend that became an auntie this weekend.  :)  I also gave a friend a thinking of you card & some of her favorite pens to hopefully brighten her day.  :)  Also I stayed with a friend's students so she could pick up her little boy from daycare when we dismissed Thursday early for snow.  :)  We didn't get to recycle b/c we got out for snow on Friday (darn) but as you can see a little (or a LOT) of bad weather didn't keep us from doing LOTS Acts of Kindness!

Wk 20-883!

The kids came back this week & we kicked it off with Acts of Kindness!  The kids made Mady's  Great-Aunt & Great-Uncle a 60th anniversary card.  Mady made them one as well.  The kids also made Miss Mady a BD card and 5 of them made her an extra one as well.  Then we did our regular recycling this week for K & 1st & got wet in a rain shower.  LOL!  ;)
Mady & I also did several Acts of Kindness over Winter Break.  I gave a sympathy card to one of my friends whose grandmother passed away.  I also gave our principal Mrs. Davis a congratulations card, she was chosen to be the principal of the new school in West Knoxville.   I also gave some of my stamping supplies to my friend Pam.
Mady made a book for Shawn & I.  We sent pics to her Gram-Gram & Pop-Pop of their visit in Dec.  We also sent a Get Well card to her Auntie Caryn, she had just had rotator cuff surgery.  :)
We have some fun Acts of Kindness coming up!  ;)
