Week 20! We QUADRUPLED our Goal! :)

Well, the 100th day was last wk & we officially QUADRUPLED our goal!  As of Thurs. we had done 401 AOKs.  We did a Get Well Card for Elizabeth.  We also emptied 14 recycle bins for 1st & K hall.  Most importantly we decided our next step-should we keep going to see how many acts we can do this yr. or should we be done w/ our project?  I had the kids close their eyes & vote what they wanted to do & they voted UNANAMIOUSLY to keep going w/ our project!  This makes my heart SO HAPPY & PROUD!  One of my students came up to me after the vote & said, "Mrs. Holloway, if anyone had voted no, I think it would have broken my heart!"  LOVE those kids & what they're doing!  :)  Can't wait to see what we do next.  :)

Week 19

We did a really FUN AOK this wk!  My Mom goes to church w/ a lady that's mother is getting ready to turn 104!  To preview our 100th day next wk we made BD cards for her!  My kids could NOT believe that someone could be that old!  We also took recycle trash out for K & 1st grade today!  We have 4 days left to see how many AOKs we can do.  I am very proud of my kids for going above & beyond my expectations!

Week 18-We've Reached Our Goal! :)

This was a short week (for me) & we're getting back into the "swing" of things.  We took recycle trash out today-even though it was freezing & this allowed us to reach our goal of 350 acts.  We're at 355 acts & we have 8 days left until day 100 so we're anxious to see how many we can do b/w now & then.  Today my Mom told me about a mother of someone she attends church with that will be over 100 soon-we'll enjoy making BD cards for her soon!  :)
