Final AOK-2,247!!!

I'm VERY proud of my kiddos!  They finished up the year strong w/ 2,247 AOKS!  I am trying to take a little off of my plate & so I haven't been posting every week but I've still been keeping track.  :)
I'm hoping the AOKS is something that stays with my firsties for forever & they will continue to be life long bucket fillers.  Mady & I are looking forward to doing some AOKS this summer!  Have a great summer everyone & remember to be kinder than necessary!  :)

Week 27- (1,619)

This was the week before Spring Break & we used some of our extra energy to do some AOKs!  ;)  Miss Mady wanted to make a card for the kids at Children Hospital, it was her own idea-I LOVE that sweet girl!  :)  She also made a BD card for her friend Erica.  Mady loaned us two of her books for class this week.  :)  She picked out a dragon fly wind chime for her Auntie Nicole.  We also loaned her our copy of Wacky Wednesday to read on that day.   I gave my Secret Pal a sun catcher for Spring!  :)   I got two love notes from my kids.  I gave a coupon to Mrs. Harkleroad.  :)  My kiddos made a BD card for Coach Potter.  :)  They have recycled twice in the last little bit.  Mrs. Coode has let me use her pencil sharpener the last two weeks.  :)  We have also had our awesome volunteers come in the last two weeks.  :)   As you can see we've been busy & we can't wait to finish up our year strong!

Week 26-TRYING to Thaw Out! (1,557)

   We actually went back to school this week, at least for a few days! ;)  We did a few AOKs at home during our Iceapop!  Mr. Holloway made sure my mamma got to her car safely when she came over b/c she had cabin fever-which of course made me love him even more!  Mady had the idea to carry some broken limbs out of our disabled neighbor's yard when ice made them break-I was very proud of that sweet girl!  :)  I gave a card to Mrs. Schlomer b/c she was having a hard time at school.  Mady picked out a FABULOUS BD card for her Pop-Pop's BD.  :)  I gave 3 coupons away.  Katie brought in some Box Tops & we donated some Pop Tabs to Student Council.  Julius & Sophia gave me love notes.  :)  Julius also brought in some books for our upcoming Book Swap.  Mady loaned me a hat for hat day.  She also loaned us 3 books to use in class this week.  :)   She also picked some flowers for me on the playground-a definite perk of being at the same school with your kiddo!  I am glad things are getting "back to normal" & that we can get back on the AOK train!  :)

Week 25-Feelin' LOVED! (1,540)

This was Valentine's week & boy oh boy have I felt the love!  :)

I wrote Miss Becky B.  a card to let her know how much I appreciate her & the new addition of "Thrilling Thursdays" she's recently added to our school.  :)  I got 6 "love" notes from my kiddos.  :)

We worked on writing friendly letters this week so we practiced writing them to people we appreciate.  The kiddos & Mady also made Valentine's for people they love-they turned out SUPER CUTE!  :)  I gave my Secret Pal some chocolates for Valentine's day.  Mady gave her classmates Valentines & we gave Mrs. Huff some chocolate as well.  :)  Mady picked out a wristlet for her Auntie Nicole.  :)  We recycled for K & 1st grade.  :)

Luke's Mom sent in glue & prize bin goodies which we desperately needed!  My Secret Pal brought me breakfast from CFA on Valentine's Day.  :)  Mady made the CUTEST Valentine's matte for us.  :)

I got TONS of stuff from my kiddos for Valentine's Day as well-my favorite part of the whole day was how my kids remembered Mady-TOO SWEET!  :)  Our sweet family exchanged Valentine's & spent the day together, what more could a girl ask for?  I am BLESSED INDEED!  :)

Week 24-TRYING to Get Back to Normal (1,413)

Well...we were "semi" back to normal this week-except for Mon.  Mady got a secondary ear infection from the flu & we had to miss Monday.  Tuesday morning was rough but the rest of the week got better & better & hopefully we'll be COMPLETELY back to normal next week!  :)  

I had Parker/Walker duty all week with Mrs. Brown.  She was SO sweet & offered to stay with the last few kids everyday-it really helped me to get caught back up after having being out for 5 days.  I REALLY APPRECIATED it!  :)

I gave my Secret Pal a little Hump Day pick me up.  :)  We made a Happy BD card for Jacob's cousin.  :)  I gave Mrs. Stewart some Delsym-it doesn't work on Mady-hopefully it will work on her kiddos!  We donated some Pop Tabs to the student council for the Ronald McDonald house.  Mady donated some kitty treats for the Student Council's "Help Pets Project."  (She had to give one to our kitties too-so they wouldn't get jealous-lol!)  ;)  We sent a BD card to my little brother & we gave a sympathy card to Mrs. Huff-her Father-in-law passed away.  :(

I got two love notes from my kiddos.  :)  Katie made me a bracelet.  :)

Finally, we recycled & man oh man those bins were SO FULL!  

Next week is Valentine's Day & I'm sure we'll be doing ALL kinds of LOVING AOKS!  :)

Week 23-Shew the Flu! :P (1,380)

 Well...it finally happened the flu hit the Holloway house!  :(  It got little Mady...so far, no one else-fingers crossed.  It seems like she's on the road to recovery-HOPEFULLY!  My colleagues were rock stars when I had to split my class Monday afternoon & Mrs. Stewart was AMAZING when she printed out all my lesson plans & got my room ready for the sub everyday!  :)
I got two "love notes" from my kiddos.  :)  We donated 3 Kleenex boxes to Miss Grantham for a project she's doing.  We also donated some Pop Tabs to Student Council for Ronald McDonald house & we gave some coupons to my Mom.
Mrs. Coode let me use her pencil sharpener.  :)  We also had volunteers come in all this week.  I appreciate them SO much!
Hopefully, next week we'll all be on the mend & we'll be back in the full swing of doing AOKs!
